Planting your seed paper is as easy as it is rewarding! Embedded with six types of wildflower seeds, these eco-friendly cards transform into beautiful blooms with just a little care. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a total beginner, you’ll find the process simple, fun, and perfect for bringing a touch of nature to your home or garden. Let’s get planting!
Supplies You Will Need
- Pot or garden bed
- Potting soil
- Plantable seed paper
- Water
How to Plant the Paper
Step 1: Prepare your pot or garden
Fill your pot ⅔ full with good potting soil. If planting in the garden, turn up the soil to ensure the bed is not compact.
Step 2: Plant the paper
Add the paper on top of the soil and cover with a ⅛” layer of soil. Tamp down gently. The paper can be showing through in areas (that’s how shallow you want it to be planted!) The paper can be ripped into smaller pieces in order to fit the pot, but avoid using scissors as this may cut through seeds.
Step 3: Water during germination
Give it a good soaking! During the first 10 days it’s important to keep the paper moist at all times but avoid letting the water pool.
Step 4: Care after germination
Once sprouts appear, continue to keep the paper moist. Once plants appear, water as needed and enjoy your beautiful blooms!
